with temporary relief - only to realize later, it's a coping mechanism and not healing.

I was abandoned by my parents at age 3 and raised by my grandparents.
Bullied by my 4th grade teacher and upper classmates for 2 years - resulting in an absence of courage and muting my voice.
Was raped at age 17 and scared into silence.
Became pregnant at 20 and gave natural birth to a 9'9 oz girl.
Struggled to remain celibate for 17 years.
Went through a 2 year custody battle - living without my child.
At age 38, naturally birthed my second child out of wedlock, who was 9'6 oz.
Watched my 1 month old in ICU for 2 weeks failing to thrive - without the dad.
Listened to my 2.5 year old child scream at night - after she was molested by her teacher.
Was completely abandoned by my child's father at age 5.
Watched my 5 year old crack her head open and hold her blood in my hands.
